52 Insights: Best Music of 2015
It’s that time of year again when we dig deep into our music libraries and weed out our favorite tunes of 2015. This is a year when Kevin Parker, the psychedelic mastermind behind Tame Impala ruled the airwaves with the band’s third LP, Currents. When the queen of quirk, Grimes, returned with her lauded album Art Angels and when ginger haired poster child Ed Sheeran became the most streamed artist on Spotify for 2015.
In this playlist we’ve tried to include a bit of everything, from the underrated pop sounds of Swedish supergroup Amason to the dreamy brilliance of Mac Demarco. We’ve even included some obscure treasures that you might have missed, like the orchestral house of London-based producer, Flako to the first-rate sounds of house maestro, Jupiter Jax.
Here’s our thought for the day: Most people consider the music industry to be in the doldrums, but we sure know one thing, it’s still churning out great music from all corners of the globe.
