Watch: Bernie Madoff Inspired TV show Sees First trailer

HBO have unveiled its highly anticipated trailer for the Bernie Madoff inspired TV show The Wizard of Lies starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. The story which became a glaring symbol of the 2008 financial crash is being directed by Barry Levinson and will launch in May.  The TV show is an adaptation of the 2012 book of the same name by New York Times journalist Diana B. Henriques.
As a recap in 2008 Bernie Madoff was caught for masterminding one of the biggest ponzi schemes in history, stealing almost $65 billion from client accounts that included fabricated gains,  for his role he recieved 150 years imprisonment and forfeiture of $17.179 billion. Robert DeNiro looks eerily like Bernie, we can’t wait to see the final version.
