Kraftwerk Unveil Stunning Racer Bikes With Canyon

German electronic act Kraftwerk is an artist who has shaped the creative world for decades, now they’ve turned their craft to designing a series of sleek racing bikes. Teaming up with bespoke bicycle group Canyon, the bikes are titled the Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk, these extremely limited run of bikes numbering just 21 machines, sport a hand finished design exemplifying the group’s clarity and visionary approach. One of the key members of the group, Ralf Hütter himself designed the frame, which includes the geometric pattern and is one of the most complex ever designed by the Canyon team. Each of the reflective strips alone took 7 hours to apply by hand.

CEO Of Canyon Roman Arnold said of the collaboration, “my memories of partying in a friend’s basement as a teenager are dominated by hearing Kraftwerk’s groundbreaking sounds. Kraftwerk and cycling have a unique connection.”

Ralf Hütter’s passion for cycling is well documented, Hütter was involved in a serious cycling accident in 1983 which put him in a coma. And whilst the collective were touring throughout the 70s and 80s there were stories of Ralf trailing the tour bus hundreds of miles into the next city. The tenth LP by Kraftwerk was titled,  Tour de France Soundtracks in 2003 the first new music to be released in 17 years.

The Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk will be available to order for a cool £8,999 at Canyon.com from July 3rd.
