Release Date Set For Much Anticipated Kenzo x H&M Launch
We’re big fans of Opening Ceremony here and were very excited to find out the release date today of their much anticipated Kenzo & H&M collaboration. On the 3rd of November the collaborative launch will hit 270 stores worldwide. This just after news that some if its wears have hit eBay at seven times the street price.
It’s been six years since Opening Ceremony founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon took over the fashion house, modernizing its wears with luxe-streetwear, bold graphic prints and cult embroidered tiger sweatshirts.

Now they are gearing up for a full high street assault which already includes model Iman, Japanese musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chance the Rapper and Chloe Sevigny as brand ambassadors, plus many more. In fact one of our favourite artists, Isamaya Ffrench, has also been picked as a creative ambassador.
Leon told Vogue recently, “In the five years that Carol and I have been at Kenzo, we’ve wanted to make sure that our customers know that we didn’t invent this brand… We’re almost hitting the 50th anniversary. What Kenzo Takada began was so revolutionary; it’s what attracted us to the brand to begin with. The idea is to celebrate where he began and where we’ve taken it—not only the archive of what he did but what we’ve worked on. We’re taking a look at how the two can merge in a true conversation.”
It’s not the first time that the street-wear giant has teamed up with a designer, in the past they have also partnered with Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Versace and Isabel Marant.
And most prominently the chaos that ensued at Balmain’s streetwear launch which caused scenes like this:
